What happens when you compare? You lose sight of all the great things available to you in this season. You lose sight of the fact that our lives are very much flowing in cycles of ebbs and flows.
We all get a turn to struggle and succeed. The more we respect our ebbs and learn from them the greater the flow. The greater the reward for being content, grateful, and attuned when the conditions to do so weren’t favorable.
Trust your season is coming. Just like in nature, everything is not in bloom at the same time. Everything taking its turn ensures beauty in all seasons.
The daffodils are the first to bloom but the Tiger lilies don’t envy them. They wait patiently underground trusting that their season will come offering them the perfect conditions to thrive. Trust your seasons like you trust summer to come.
Know that the deeper your faith the greater your bloom. The greater your gratitude, the more glorious your season of triumph will be.
Writing Prompt:
What are more productive ways to spend your time underground outside of comparison?
